BRIEF HISTORY OF PASADA

Pastoral Activities and Services for people with AIDS Dar es Salaam Archdiocese (PASADA), is a faith based organization based in Dar es Salaam and Pwani Regions.

It  was started in 1989 by the late Fr. George Loire. (In the photo below)


PASADA opened an office in 1992 and a  dispensary in 1994
PASADA reaches the poorest of the poor infected and adversely affected with HIV and AIDS. Its sites are mostly located in remote areas .We provide them with a comprehensive range of quality services along the continuum of care .
Vision: “A society in which all people can live life to their full potential with dignity and respect”.
Mission Statement: “Responding to the call of faith, PASADA strives to provide and maintain quality, caring and compassionate services and support to people affected by HIV and AIDS in the Archdiocese of Dar es Salaam, with particular attention to the poorest and most needy, through a holistic approach and with special emphasis on the values of justice and solidarity” 
Overall Goal: To maintain provision of quality holistic HIV and AIDS services with the focus on long term sustainability and cost efficiency
PASADA offers services through a total of 25 sites:

ART 25 sites; sites; 6 in Pwani and 19 in Dar

TB/HIV 17 sites; 6 in Pwani and 11 in Dar

HBC 22 sites; 4 in Pwani and 18 in Dar

PMTCT 19 sites, 6 in Pwani and 13 in Dar

HCT 25 sites; 5 are in Pwani and 20 in Dar

OVC from needy orphans/high vulnerable children mainly from Temeke District.
The Executive Director of PASADA is Mr. Simon Yohana.
PASADA's is grateful for the support provided by various donors supporting the various programs including
